"Thank you for sending me the book Gold and Other Precious Metals. It is intriguing."
(Dr. Masatake Haruta, Director, Research Institute for Green Technology, National
Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Onogawa, Japan).

Of course there are always the occasional unhappy readers:
"I recent (sic) purchased a copy of the third edition of Claudia Gasparrini-Etheridge’s
(sic) "Gold and Other Precious Metals, Occurrence, Extraction and Applications". I
would not have paid about US$200 for it if I had know (sic) that it was a poor quality
photocopy. Teh (sic) colour reproduction is very poor and a lot of the black and white
figures and tables can not (sic) be read. I expected far more from someone affilitated
(sic) with the IPMI." (Bruce Craig Jago, Ph.D., P. Geol. Manager, Mineralogical Services,
Lakefield Research of Canada Ltd., Lakefield,Ontario, Canada).
We can assure our readers that, although the binding is not as professionally finished as the one of the Springer-Verlag edition, the book is not a poor photocopy, it has been printed from the computer. The quality of the color photograps is very similar to the one of the previous edition and the black and white figures and tables are all clearly legible. What we find surprising is that an organization with as impeccable a reputation as Lakefield Research of Canada Ltd., would choose as one of its professional representatives - even if for a short period of time - an individual who appears incapable of writing in a proper English as simple a message as the one above.
"Overall, I think your book is excellent." (David Menne', President, Mennetech Pty. Ltd., Perth, Western Australia)
"I did not write a review because I had very little to say and most of it would have been bad." (Patrick Taylor, Professor, University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho).
"It is a damn good book, every library should have a copy." (verbal communication, Patrick Taylor, Professor, University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho)

Yes, this is the same Prof. Taylor who stated above: " It is a damn good book....."
